Neighbored by Brickell to the south, Overtown on the west and Wynwood and Edgewater to the north, Downtown Miami is a layered community, filled with history, culture, art and entertainment.  Centered around the CBD, Downtown has a modern vibe, world-class museums, parks and all-night entertainment.  Known for its walkability, Downtown can also be explored using the Metro Mover or City of Miami trolley, both of which are free!  The Miami World Center is a 30-acre mixed-use development, currently under construction, spanning several blocks of Downtown.  When complete, it will contain 1,875 residential units, 500,000 sq ft of expo space, 300,000 sq ft of retail space and 500,000 sq ft of office space.  The majority of homes here are in high-rise condo towers with spectacular views of Biscayne Bay, the Port of Miami or westward over city lights.
